Handicap Background

Handicap is often used to describe someone or something who has physical limitations; these limitations can impact the person on a personal level, as well as, when it comes to interacting with society.

Handicap Van

A handicap van is a vehicle that is used to transport the physically or mentally disabled from one location to the next. Often these vans are equipped with lifts or ramps to help assist in movement a wheelchair or other medical implements easily.

Handicap Parking Permit

A handicap parking permit is a document issued to an individual through their state's governing system. This states that the individual fits under the qualifications for handicap parking, to allow for an easier time with every day choices.

Handicap Signs

Handicap signs can be found in numerous public venues. These signs are indicators that special accommodations have been made to help the physically handicapped in regards to seating, bathroom functions, or even in regards to parking.
 
Handicap Ramps

Handicap ramps are inclines of either a permanent or temporary nature that have been placed near entrances to buildings and houses in order to make the location accessible to those who use wheelchairs, scooters, etc.

Handicap Showers

Handicap showers are larger showers that have been build with features necessary for a physically disabled person to be able to shower in comfort and on their own.

Handicap Toilets

Handicap toilets are accommodations made in public venues for those who are physically handicapped. They are typically larger stalls that have enough room for a wheelchair or walker to fit in.

Handicap Scooters

Handicap scooters are small vehicles that can be used for mobility and transportation; in many cases these scooters can be used in homes, as well as, through shopping centers.

Handicap Accessible

Handicap Accessible is a term used for places that have accommodations made for those who are deemed physically handicapped.

Handicap Hand Controls

Handicap hand controls are mechanisms that attach to the brake and the accelerator in the car; this attachment gives a physically disabled person the ability to control the car through the use of their hands alone.

Handicap Lift

A handicap lift is a mechanism that is used for lifting wheelchairs or even people from the ground floor up to an elevated platform, like to a car, deck, or even to the upper floor of a house.
