Art Therapy
is an ever evolving field that brings for the belief that art can unlock keys
to behavioral understanding and communication. Through this type of therapy,
students, both adults and children, are given artistic freedom to create what
they want. In their work, often, can be found symbols of how they feel and what
they simply cannot communicate to the outside world.
Art Therapy
Art Therapy is a processes in which children or adults can be brought into
classes to do various artistic projects. Through these projects, a gateway is
opened in terms of communication and behavioral tendencies. In one respect the
person in art therapy is given a vehicle for creativity and expression, which
can help to bring forth unresolved conflicts. And they are also given tools to
help alleviate stress and frustration in life, helping to heal them if they are
overwhelmed.
Art Therapy Schools
There are many Art Therapy Schools based in the United States. They help teach
future Art Therapy teachers the fundamental elements of teaching art therapy
courses, understanding the importance of Art Therapy, and helping them to bring
different artistic elements into their courses. This is a progressive field of
study and practice. Once training is over, the Art Therapy teacher can begin
teaching Art Therapy courses using all they have learned from their studies and
from their observation. For students and adults in Art Therapy courses, this is
a time in which understanding can be created about their feelings and where
communication is forged in a non-verbal arena.
