Garlic Background
Garlic is most widely known for its uses in cooking. Garlic has a very distinct flavor, which is prevalent in many dishes around the world. Garlic can be found in many forms, including dried garlic, fermented garlic and fresh garlic cloves. Each form of garlic has a different flavor and may provide different levels of health benefits associated with the consumption of garlic. While some of the health benefits of garlic have been confirmed in test tubes studies, more extensive testing is required in order to confirm those findings with humans.
Benefits of Garlic
There are many benefits associated with garlic consumption, including cardio vascular benefits. Some studies have confirmed that garlic can lower blood pressure and help to clear arteries. Test tube studies also confirmed that garlic can fight fungus, viruses and bacteria. However, it is not certain if those findings will translate with human consumption of garlic.
