disorder that starts of relatively unobtrusive to life, but begins to destroy
various sections of brain cells which carry out necessary functions for the
body. In the beginning the loss will be insignificant, but by the end of the
disease, there is severe bodily deterioration that occurs.

patients require assistance for the most basic of operations and functions.

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive degeneration of brain functionality. With
the progression of this illness comes stages. In the beginning there will be no
symptoms of illness, as it progresses further some small memories of basic
things will be forgotten like the name of a certain item or an address. In the
later stages of Alzheimer's disease, the losses become significant. Cognitive
functions and the most basic motor skills no longer exist at the final stage.
