A pediatric psychiatrist is one which handles psychological issues with young children. They do so in such a way that allows the child to feel comfortable, while minimizing stress.

Child Psychiatrists  

A child psychiatrist works children and does so in a creative and unique way, to allow the child to express themselves without being scared. Children may create art or write stories, which allow them to deal with issues in a different way than adults would.

Geriatric Psychiatrist  

A geriatric psychiatrist works with older adults, especially those that are confronted with a medical diagnosis which is difficult to handle by oneself. They may work with Alzheimer's patients or with patients that have been confronted with a terminal diagnosis such as cancer.

Forensic Psychiatrist  

A forensic psychologist deals with the criminal mind. They work to determine which factors lead an individual to commit criminal acts and they profile criminals before their identity is known. They work closely with law enforcement to predict criminal behavior.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Jobs   

A psychiatric nurse practitioner works in conjunction with a psychiatrist to dispense prescribed medication to patients, while monitoring their body’s reaction to that medication.
